The M400 hammer is designed for formworkers and carpenters. It is equipped with a wood planing lug, an elastomer and cork handle and a 400-gram head with imprint and nail magnet. The balance and ergonomics of the M400 have been optimised to reduce user fatigue and the risk of MSD thanks to its high shock absorption capacity. In addition, the M400 hammer has been designed to facilitate recycling at the end of its life.
Ixiade has rethought the traditional design of the formworker’s hammer with the aim of improving the comfort and safety of professional users. The hammer has been made lighter while offering maximum precision and power in striking. User tests were necessary to optimise and validate the final design.
The M400 hammer has been nominated for the Batimat 2014 Innovation Awards.
